“Your music is really accessible and melodic and interesting, and I love that it's not always super virtuosic too, which is great as an intermediate/amateur pianist myself … Great stuff!”

"When I had an idea for a stage production of a humanities themed event, I needed a musician who could select and arrange music that fit our "Dark La Crosse Tour: The Radio Show." Luke was the best choice I could have made - he delighted the audience with his abilities and talked about his selections based on music written by La Crosse composers long since deceased as part of the Q&A after-show. Luke is a true professional who has an immense amount of self-discipline. Five stars!"

Luke played for Classic Hits 94.7's 4th Annual Listener Appreciation party and he was fantastic! He was so much fun and had a great mix of musical styles. Luke played a great variety: different kinds of Christmas tunes, classic jazz songs, and great '60s, '70s, and '80s! He really added so much to our party and we were quite lucky to have him. Don't miss this guy, very talented!"

"Luke contributed to a hugely meaningful part of our wedding by playing piano prior to, and during our ceremony. I spent the better part of a year selecting the perfect songs for the ceremony, and Luke learned the songs in the weeks that preceded our wedding and played them more beautifully than I could have imagined. As a special request, he also accompanied a trumpet, saxophone, and drums played by my brothers and friend in some songs played at the beginning of the reception. Among the many wonderful memories of that day, this special show was a definite highlight. So many guests commented about how cool it was to have live music throughout the night. I couldn't be more appreciative of the preparation Luke did prior to our wedding to ensure that his performance was perfect. I highly recommend him!"

Luke Thering worked with me on a production of Coleridge’s “The Rime of the Ancient Mariner” in September 2023. In our initial meeting, he was calm and focused, and it was clear to me that he understood what I wanted and that he could manage the complexities of this presentation. We went through the entire script, and he mapped out the parts for piano, cello, percussion, and sound effects with ease and clarity. We had a tight schedule, but after the first rehearsal, it was obvious we would need only one more rehearsal. Even though the other participants were professionals, it was Luke’s guidance that kept us on track—he knew what he was doing, he gave the rest of us confidence, and we collaboratively produced a superior product. The potential for glitches was high, but Luke put us all “on the same page.” It was a pleasure to work with him.
